Rough terrain forklifts have been produced by CareLift Equipment, ever since the year 1962. Each day the company strives to help all their customers reach their objectives and deliver value as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.
Boom lifts come in 2 general kinds, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. Both these models are usually hydraulically powered. Most often straight booms are the ideal alternative for jobs which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. Because the operator could maneuver and steer the vehicle while the boom is completely extended, it is a very versatile machinery. These units come in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.
Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting loads up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise not accessible. These lift units perform jobs which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are almost like the straight boom lift in the majority of aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are different articulation points on the boom in order to allow it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily in the work environment.
To be able to maintain stability while the boom lift is fully extended, several heavy-duty boom lifts come outfitted with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Correct training is necessary before using boom lifts in order to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everybody working in the vicinity stays safe.
Boom lifts enable tasks which used to need a lot more man hours to be done in a much shorter time period. These equipment have changed the material handling industry and have really increased productivity.
