Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of machinery which could carry loads that are approximately 30,000 pounds is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being sturdy and big, these industrial machinery still bear the possible chance of accident or crash. To be able to be very safe, be sure to have operators put on an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are on board. We all know that seat belts can save lives in the event of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts could extend across the upper body and over the lap. These types of belts provide an extra degree of safety by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat types. The 3-point seat belts are available in either retractable and non-retractable types.
The majority of modern vehicles on the market offer retractable seat belts. While non-retractable types increase safety, retractable types offer more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are ones that extend over the lower part of the body. The majority of lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The kind of seat belt that forces a forklift operator to put on a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These seat belts have a micro-switch attached that sounds an alarm if an operator starts a vehicle and is unsecured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band types.
