The design philosophy at Peiner has always revolved around providing grabs that deal with the largest volume of material versus grab dead weight. The typical handling ratio for Peiner buckets and grabs is around 60/40, meaning material dead weight of 60 percent versus grab dead weight of 40 percent. This translates into transporting more quantities of materials faster. The wear and tear on the structure of the crane and its related parts is less. By combining manufacturing with innovative design and high quality materials, the required weight ratio is obtained.
