Genie telescopic S-booms have working heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a horizontal reach of between 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Compared with different other aerial work platforms, telescoping booms have a much greater range of horizontal reach. Genie telescopic booms are engineered with consideration to being able to access confined areas during construction and industrial jobs. They are also known for their ability to rapidly maneuver through a job site with great drive speed and traction. The platform hydraulically turns 160° and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for tools and operators and are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters. Continuous, 360° rotating turntables offer operators quick, easy positioning.
The Z-135/70 model has a telescoping jib, called the Jib-Extend, that goes from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach tasks that were inaccessible by typical jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 model gives the user 8.83 meters of up and over reach. This feature allows up and over reaching jobs to be done with zero front arm swing.
The Fast Mast System made by Genie allows for time to be saved when both primary and secondary booms platform has to either be lowered or lifted without needing to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system enables both booms to be elevated fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system reduces the time required for users to ascend and descend, increasing production and effectiveness.
