Articulating Booms - Bi-Energy and Electric
Terex provides Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment that are emission-free and provide quiet operation for the most sensitive work applications. For example, in industrial situations where the equipment needs to travel large distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the benefits and versatility of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC equipment.
Important features which this combination offers is out, up and over positioning capabilities for complete versatility. In addition, the zero tail-swing provided by most units, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
Drive controls and proportional lift controls also offer smooth drive performance and precise boom positioning. The 48V DC electric drive system provides emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive settings. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an additional working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates to either side at an angle of 90 degrees.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
The Terex Genie is ideal for outdoor construction applications and industrial applications. This model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms which combine out, over and up positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach provided by this model is second to none in the market.
The diesel engines with articulating booms provide zero tail-swing on the majority of models and have a tight turning radius. These machines are great for maneuvering in confined locations. Additionally, they offer supreme power, exceptional torque and grade and terrain maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet overall as well. Nearly all models have full time drive positive drive traction system and active oscillating axle to offer great flexibility on uneven and rough surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 4 or 2 wheel drive models, whilst the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to ninety degrees on these models too.
