Man Lift Designs
On the market these days, there is a huge variety of articulating lifts, with various types of lifts to fit each circumstance, application and work venue. There are certain manufacturers who specify in lifts for hazardous settings like for instance petro-chemical plants, underground tunnel situations, and other locations where there is a danger of explosive gases or dust, for example in grain-processing plants.
Other lifts have been designed especially to mount onto big flatbed trucks or onto trailers or onto the back of a pick up truck. There are models which include articulating booms that could be self-propelled and are controlled by the lift operator, whereas others can pivot 360 degrees.
There are both outdoor and indoor lift models. They come in both 4-wheel and 2-wheel powered options. In some cases, the platforms are adjustable and several models have baskets where the worker stands. These baskets or platforms are adjustable and allow the workers to swing into location or remain level, depending upon what the operator should complete the job. There are some baskets and platforms which come wired in order to enable the operator to plug tools in as required.
